Pikachu Beginnings Mascot Plush | Pokémon Center Japan

PK10127

Pikachu is an Electric-type Pokémon from Kanto whose cheek pouches store electricity for powerful attacks. The character's early artwork was rounder and more compact than the familiar modern silhouette, which gives the Beginnings version a strong nostalgic identity. That older shape also suits a small mascot plush particularly well, keeping the design soft and recognisable at a much smaller scale. For collectors who grew up with the original games, this version offers a playful reminder of how Pikachu's visual design has evolved while its role as a friendly partner Pokémon has remained central.

The Pikachu Beginnings design looks back to Pikachu's rounded appearance in the original Pokémon Red and Green era. For Pokémon's long-running Japanese fan community, revisiting early game artwork connects modern Pokémon Center merchandise with the visual style that introduced the series in the 1990s.
