Metapod is a Bug-type Pokémon and the cocoon stage between Caterpie and Butterfree. Its hard green shell protects the developing Pokémon inside, making its simple design an important part of one of the best-known early evolution lines in the franchise. Metapod is strongly associated with defensive moves such as Harden and with the transformation that eventually produces Butterfree. As one of the original Kanto Pokémon, it carries strong first-generation nostalgia. Collectors can pair Metapod with Caterpie and Butterfree to create a complete evolution display or add it to an original 151 Pokémon collection.
Pokémon Fit is a Pokémon Center plush collection from Japan created around compact, display-friendly versions of Pokémon from across the Pokédex. The range is known internationally as Sitting Cuties, making it especially popular with collectors who enjoy building character line-ups across different regions and generations. Because the collection covers many Pokémon that receive less merchandise than headline characters, Pokémon Fit also gives fans a way to find favourites that can be difficult to represent in a plush display.
